One of the things I do a lot in Second Life - aside from shopping and nerding out with the First Look viewer - is explore. I explore sandboxes and clubs (mostly to make myself feel better as I gaze out at all the blingtards), beautiful and even not so beautiful architecture, scary role-play sims, scarier combat sims, and lately, even head back to my birthplace - the Ahern Welcome Area (where I can appreciate the witty banter from the Ahern regulars, look down on the blingtards AND nerd out with the First Look all at the same time). Anyway….one of the places I found in my travels when I first started SL was Wynx Whiplash’s ExtroVirtual, which has a bevy of adorable avatars and wearable pets for hours and hours of amusement.
Just last week I was visiting Wynx’s wonderland again…I picked up her new tiny cow avatar because it’s so flipping cute (even if you’re not into trying out inhuman avatars), and I also won two prizes from two lucky chairs in 20 minutes! I am the proud owner of a Devil Pig that sits on my shoulder and snorts (picture of me wearing him here) and an adorable Hammie (who I later renamed “Schnitz”) who sings songs, sleeps, blows kisses and all sorts of other cute things.
Today, while browsing the forums, I saw this super cute wearable Panda pet from Wynx. They apparently come in three sizes based on your AV size and attach to your left or your right forearm
Of course, like all Wynx wearable pets, they blink their eyes and make cute little noises when clicked. This one also comes with a HUD for easy use. All for $300L!
Wynx also posted a link to this great YouTube video of real Pandas in action…great fun!
Be sure to check out Wynx’s store in Emit Time
It’s the little fun things that keep me interested in coming back to SL. It’s honestly hard to be bored.

I have probably spent many, many Linden $s trying to find boots that didn’t make my feet look absolutely enormous. Shiny Things of course has great boots - no doubt about it - but what about for those days when you just want to stomp on someone’s pixel head? For those days, I found these Femme Dollfie boots from Nevermore Studios that I am in love with. Not going to even waste any more characters on singing their prim praises…because I am sure it’s been done long before me. However, I just found them and I am never taking them off
Apologies in advance that things seem to be a bit blurry. SL has been giving me problems tonight for sure.
Just click on the pictures for a closer look.

Ok so the pose is a little retarded but I didn’t realize that until I logged off. You can see them in the whole outfit I paired it with below, which by the way I also like a lot (from Digital Dragon Designs).

If you ever have those days where you’re not interested in wearing a gown and heels (hmmm I seem to be going gownless more and more these days), then these might suit you well.
Boots: Femme Dollfie from Nevermore Studios
Outfit: Defiant from Digital Dragon Designs
Leggings: Torn leggings (as part of the Sticky Fairy outfit) from Winter Moon
Hair: Mia in smoke frosted from ETD
Skin: Vogue Smokey Peach (with freckles) in Cashmere skin tone from Celestial Studios
Dogtags: Custom from Xcessories
I don’t have SLURLs for these locations tonight but will try to add them tomorrow when I can see straight.
Have fun!

Most everyone (who cares about this sort of thing) knows there is a new group in SL called “Fashion Consolidated” - the brainchild of Honey Fairweather. For the most part, I think it’s brilliant…you get new release information without having to join an individual group (for which the Lindens only give us 25 slots
). That said, there are some groups that I will never leave…those are the groups that actually use those groups as more than a way to announce new items, but also to show genuine customer appreciation with discounts, special offers only for group members, fun events, the much appreciated freebie and of course, the occasional chat session. A few of the groups I will never leave: Dazzle (Last Call), ETD, Celestial Studios, Canimal, Cal Gals (Callie Cline), and Shai. There are a couple others but these are the primary ones I truly see value in belonging to.
For instance, last night I get a notice from Last Call…and I am truly excited. I get home and log on…attached to the notice is a dress exclusively for group members, which I have yet to try on (FFS need more time!!!!) and the tease of a ginormous release…which never disappoints. You know how you know you’re going to love something before you actually see it? And then you see it and you know it’s going to be perfect? Kind of like falling in love…you just know it when you find it
That’s how I feel about the Heiress Suit from Ginny’s latest big release. Not being a huge gown girl, this is right up my alley. Oh how I adore it.

Let’s see what you get. Aside from total hawtness - Ginny so has my number - you get prim ties, prim buckled cuffs, 2 pairs of sunglasses (white and black), the highly-detailed jacket, and the cropped pants. All in a delicious buttery smooth, rich leather. Get it at Last Call!
I have paired the suit with Bonita II hair from ETD and of course, a Starley skin (two versions shown: one Vogue and one Deviant, exclusive to Last Call), and Crocodile stilletos from Tickled Pink. Course I also have my dog tags on from Xcessories and my wedding rings from Ramos
So the moral of this story is: keep the groups that matter to you…and keep them close!

What do you get when you put four of the most popular designers’ stores together (the Quad), hold a valentine’s day scavenger hunt and give away great designs? Aside from lag, you get a fantastic Looking For Love event hosted by Canimal, Dazzle Last Call, Celestial Studios and ETD.
Since I am snowed in, I got to join the first of 3 fantastic scavenger hunts planned for today’s festivities. Even though at times you couldn’t move, it was a fantastic event - and I had a blast! I quickly removed my hair, my shoes and my AO. I was completely non-prim except for my wedding rings. I couldn’t have cared less. I went on this hunt as if my Second Life depended on it. Where else could you see 160 of SL’s most rabid fashionistas bald, laggy and begging for mercy? I laughed…I laughed a lot. By the way, taking off all those prims helped me a lot. Aside from one crash, I didn’t lag too badly in most areas. And, I still finished the hunt!
If you missed the fun at the first event, you can read the rules at Elika’s blog or Ginny’s blog and join up for the ones starting at 3:00 or 6:00 p.m. today! Believe me, even if you don’t win the grand prize of 10,000L, if you get far enough along, you’ll win a lot of fantastic freebies - 20 items in all - from Second Life’s most talented. I did complete the event but I highly doubt I won. It really doesn’t matter. It was worth it.
Check out some of the great finds ! I am wearing Underloons by Canimal, Heart earrings by Starley at Celestial Studios, ETD Heart Bracelet by Elikapeka - all freebies as part of today’s festivities! I also have on my Last Call exclusive Deviant skin in Champagne/Fishnet, Starley hair in Smoke Blackened by ETD, and Heart Cheekies also by Starley and available exclusively at Last Call.

Speaking of Last Call. Also as part of today’s activities, Ginny has given us not 1, not 2 but 6 (FFS, 6!!!) gorgeous “Love Me” dresses also all found along the trail of 20 hearts. Here is my favorite in Copper.

I had a blast! Big thanks to the Quad for putting this on. I can only imagine the work that went into it.
