Today at 6:00 p.m. SL Time (yeah, it has its own timezone), I am getting married to my lovely and amazing Aragorn Cheney. Why would one actually “marry” someone in a game? I guess because you want to express your feelings for someone in a way that is public - just like real life. And yeah, it isn’t “real” and thankfully, it isn’t “binding” like real life…but it does mean something. It means you care for this person you have in your life - above all other avatars (lmao). But really, I love my Aragorn very much…and in very real life ways. So we demonstrate them in SL…because it’s fun
