blarrgghhhh

I am at work and desperately trying to figure out how I can go ride my horse and still get home in enough time to log-in and visit Dazzle’s new Last Call preview! It’s open only to members of the Dazzle group…and yeah, I so want to be there right now based on the piccies I am seeing on Snapzilla.

Like this one from Catrina Corleone who is there right now…that bitch :P  Even though it’s blurry (must be laggy as hell in there), you can see the quality and creativity that goes into Ginny’s work.

It was fun mmmmmkay?

Last night was really fun despite the inevitable lag and other SL snafus. I have a ton ‘o picks on my home machine but since I am feigning work, I can’t post em. I did put a couple of quickies up on Snapzilla but they’re not terribly good…still, a good time was had by most I think. You can call me Mrs. Waldman-Cheney now :P
So now that my days as a fake bride are over, I can potentially get back to doing nothin again :P
I have a list a mile long of places to see, things to buy and things I want to do on Second Life so maybe I’ll begin to chip away at it…

In the meantime, after attending the iVillage Fashion Show this past Monday, I find myself thinking a lot about the fashion “scene” on SL. Admittedly, I am a shawpwhore. I’m exactly the same in RL and I have the shoe closet to prove it (yeah, my shoes all have digital pictures on the boxes so I can easily find what I am looking for). But in SL, it’s so much more than what it might look like on the surface considering we’re talking about pixel assets.

It’s a very complex ecosystem of WOMM out there - fueled in part by the few blogs out there that are both entertaining and updated often enough to move markets. And yeah, if you read Linden Lifestyles or Style Disorder or Second Style (and others) everyday, you know exactly what I mean. Those ladies have a lot of influence no doubt about it.

But beyond that, with all the groups we now have to help each other find the stuff we want, people are talking a lot more…about those designers who are worth it and those who are not…oh and about some of the (strangely entertaining?) drama that seems to infect the focus on fashion…

Whatevs. I wouldn’t like Second Life nearly as much as I do without the ability to express myself through shopping. Hell, I even get a better rack in SL - and that my friends is worth all the lag on Sheep Island.

Hoooo!

ps - here’s a pic of me and my hubby cuz it’s cute.
