Avatars going batshit

posted in Second Life |

It’s an oddly fascinating pastime of mine to watch what happens when Linden Lab releases a new viewer and the masses, who have completely ignored more than a dozen testable First Look clients for months, finally try it.

This is what happens:

Seriously though, if I were in their shoes and could no longer run SL, I would be pissed. It’s just that the comments are sometimes funny (like the one above). If you have seen the Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler, then you might know what I have in my head when I saw that post.

Until next time - YOUUUUUUUUUUUU SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

Why not let us know what you think by adding your own comment! Your opinion is as valid as anyone elses, so come on... let us know what you think.

Mhm… the update has made EVERYTHING freeze for me about 40 times since last night, and I’ve been on the verge of tearing my hair out a couple of times since. But LL hardly deserve all the crap they’ve gotten for these problems, I’m sure they’re doing their best.

Yeah, it is kind of interesting to watch the craziness, but to be fair many of us *have* tried the FL viewer. And thought it purely sucked.

Those of us who run in-world business probably have the most constant irritation, having to tell customers why what they purchased didn’t show up in their inventory (glad THAT got fixed), or why a product looks different on their machine (LOD problems are driving me crazy).

The increased FPS is nice, but overall I am underwhelmed.

Robby - I know many people have but don’t hate me for laughing at some of the comments ;) They’re hilarious…

I have no doubt that some day soon, it will be me unable to run the damn thing and then you’ll see some hilarity in my comments as well :D
