When SL updates both server code and viewers, there are always a couple iffy hours (or days?) afterwards where things are just fubar. Normally, I shrug it off. But today, it drove me mental.

1. For the first time since I joined SL, I lost a major item from my inventory. Specifically, a new AO from Luth was in my inventory - and then after a relog, it poofed. Gone. Nowhere. Buh Bye. I contacted Luth and her customer service rep so hopefully she’ll replace it….I have lost little things before but this was major by SL currency standards.

2. Friends list shows no one online even if they’re standing in front of me. If I IM said person and they still don’t show up in my friends list, then all those IMs go to e-mail and there is no way to have a private conversation with them!

3. The web shows 0 online and friends list on the web is broken too.

I know it’ll all get fixed in a couple days but FFS, this just sucks a little fun out.

On the positive side, I haven’t had a failed TP in a while and Elika released new hair today, which I totally dig

Today, my horse gets another visit from the vet to determine next steps with his injury and managing his pain :/ He does seem better to me but clearly not “sound” (meaning, he’s still gimpy and sore). I didn’t sleep much more than 2 hours last night so I’m now nervous, jerky and overtired all wrapped into one (another reason I am working at home today). Hoping all goes well today and I can get back to sleep

Here’s another picture of my big, French horse. For those of you who don’t know anything about horses, mine is a 17.2hh (hand is a horse-specific unit of measure - in this case, it’s only important to know that he is really F%#@%*% tall), chestnut (color) Selle Francais (French warmblood - breed) gelding (unequipped male). He’s also French - bred in Normandy and imported to the US at age 5ish. Despite his large size (FFS, look at the size of his head), he’s really very gentle

Edit: Vet says he looks good.  So maybe he’s going to be just fine this time That would be very nice…

I am sort of back on a dress kick after spending several months in torn shirts and short skirts ^-^ Of course, finding dresses in SL isn’t hard - but finding good ones *can* be if you don’t know where to look.

This weekend Blue Hair and I checked out the opening of Elexor Matador’s new sim and store (I think there are over 2500 items there IIRC). May I just say, it was a-mazing and tons of fun! Of course, when you attend an event for a major jeweler, you have to flex the flexi…though never the *bling* For this occasion, I chose a gorgeous dress from Ivalde that I must rave about…and a couple others just because they are THAT good. I figured a little round up would show off some of my favorites.

First up is the Vintage Thorine in white, which you can see is delicious and detailed. The prim skirt didn’t fit me all that well and since it wasn’t copy (the *only* issue I have with Ivalde actually), I messed up the editing and had to request new copies of the prims (which owner Neferia Able sent along very kindly). I just love the detail down the back and the shimmery texture of the bodice and skirt. But you know what I love most of all? That it doesn’t show half my butt like so many dresses I see in SL…and the difference between the textures on the prims and the baked elements are almost zero - so it looks good in any light without any tinting. I paired the dress with the luscious jewels from Elexor of course - specifically the EMJ Platinum & Gold Flower Bracelet and Platinum & Gold Diamond Ribbon Ring. Both, beautiful. I also have on the stud earrings that came in the gift bag from the event - color changing from diamond to peridot and tanzanite!

Next on my list is another dress I adore - the Vintage Ragna in salmon. Again, the detail is simply perfect; fit me like it should (no bumm showing through) and comes with these sheer arm poofs that make it even that much more special. I truly love this dress - it’s actually my current favorite and comes in many other colors.

Lastly, is an almost freebie. At $10L, you can’t really go wrong with the Embla, which I am showing in blue but also comes in other colors. The quality and colors are perfect - it’s definitely something I would wear. And, it’s great for new players so you can splurge on that newbie you’ve been helping out
