Quickie - new eyes at Miriel

I was just procrastinating RL work when I happened to see that Miriel has made new, bigger eyes! This is significant to me because while I loved her eyes before, I found them to be far too small for my AV. This is a very welcome new addition to Miriel’s shop (on Nouveau dontchaknow). With beautiful colors and such great prices ($125 for a 4 pack), I will definitely be checking them out.

Picked up the new eyes and am very happy :)

Get yer rockabilly on

artilleri-sim.jpg

In case you’ve been living under a sculptie, Antonia “Antie” Marat has opened her new Artilleri sim! This is a place where you can not only shop for hours, but explore the new sim for perhaps even longer. Yup, it’s that fun. I spent a few hours there last night with Blue Hair, riding around on the free Bespas, playing my all time favorite Whack a Mole and even bowling :) In addition to the great layout - you can even get ice cream or check out the drive-in - there is of course, tons of stuff to fill your virtual closets. Antie released a boatload of new items including new skins!!! Anddddd, you can also find Emma Gilmour’s Sand Shack Surf with a new outpost there. I’ve definitely said this before but she’s a sweetie - not to mention talented - and it’s great to see both of them do so well.

Either way you slice it, you can’t lose with a visit to Artilleri.

My favorite from the new releases has to be the elsie dress, which comes in brown, yellow, green, blue and red. I’m showing the red because I think it’s my favorite of the prints - or it was when I put them on this morning ;) Honestly, even if you’re not a pretty dress kind of girl (or guy I guess), this one you will love. It’s pretty damn perfect. And of course my all time pet peeve of prim skirts hanging halfway down the arse is blissfully absent from this amazing little flouncy skirt. I love it.

Antie also released some very cute capris outfits, a sweet heart necklace, animal print hot pants and tops, more bikinis, and yep as I mentioned, skins! I have not gone through them all just yet but being that there are blogs fare more qualified to “do” skins, I’ll leave it to them. However, from what I see in the Lily skins ads, they will be in my inventory by tonight because who can resist?

So go, go, go spend some of your SL today at Artilleri. You’ll meet very cool people like I did this morning when I chatted with Yuki Eerie - who I think has a great look that’s a hell of a lot more interesting than mine lol. She said she’s channeling mean girl - but I’m not fooled, she’s a sweetheart :)

A little variety is the spice of life

I recently came across a new-to-me designer, Daequix Scarboro, who makes some pretty delicious skins at her shop DaeSkins. Now these are far different from what I typically wear…far, far different being that these particular items are goth or vamp or whatever the proper term is. But a little change might be just what the doctor ordered, because to be honest, I’ve been rather bored of SL fashion over the last few weeks (aside from goodies from Trinitee and her guy, Krius).

Anyway, Daequix has recently released her Julana III series that includes three makeups ranging from harajuku to vamp. The makeups are well done and the bodies, well they’re even better I think.

I am wearing the “harajuku” skin, which has gorgeous purple and blue lips and pretty detail around the eyes. It’s very heavy though, so if you don’t like that kind of thing, you won’t love this makeup. I was sort of shocked when I put it on for the first time but I ended up wearing it for a couple days straight (well, took it off for Jelly’s wedding lol). The best part about the skins in my opinion is the tone of the skin overall - it’s an ash, almost waxy finish - very much like, well, a dead av ;) If you’re channeling an evil looking dead chick, this could be just the skin for you to try. Really though, it’s well done and more than reasonably priced at $350L per skin.

Now, this dead chick does have *lady bits* but I am not going to show you those up close and personal because that’s not how I roll. Leave that kind of thing to the experts at the blogs on the right. Try the demos and you’ll find that even dead girls can be hawt. Seriously, the shading is great. Although you’ll be deathly white, you’ll still have a cute ass.

Have a good weekend!

Introducing for the first time…

Mr. and Mrs. HawksRock Gunawan orrrrrr something to that affect.

If you’re not a Snapzilla regular (for shame, for shame) you might not know that last Slevening, Jelly and her Hawks tied the knot at their home in Wildmutt. It was definitely a beautiful wedding once it got started. Lots of pink all around, including Jelly’s shoes. Luckily, both the Bride and Groom got back from their respective crashes in time to say their “I Dos”.

The update hated me so while I did take some pictures, I didn’t get every shot that I wanted. But others did like Trinitee and Phinn :) (ps - did ya know that Trinitee has an awesome new Heroes-inspired piece out? If not, I suggest you go check out Refuge like I will be - oh ‘course we know Jelly has this already lol).

It was late for me so I couldn’t stay as long as I would have liked to but I had so much fun for the 1.5 hours I was able to attend…even without my Mr. Blue Hair (although of course I missed him…but it would have been like 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning there).

So with that, here’s to a SLifetime of happiness. I can’t wait to see what you two get up to next! Something tells me I will NOT have to worry about prim babies at least.

And here are some snaps. There are tons more on Snapzilla from a bunch of us so be sure to check them out (including a couple snaps of the officiant who was rightfully tagged as a blingtard tee hee!) :)
