Sh*t Happens
Yep, that is does.
But Ana Boogiewoogie, owner and designer of a boutique by the same name probably means it in a better way than I do.
Honestly, I hadn’t shopped at Sh*t Happens before but I was very happy I came across it. I *think* it’s recently redone and she’s put out new designs as well.
Now before I show you my picks, please note - I dunno why I am attracted to big bows lately. But I am. Admitted. Perhaps I am making up for the fact that I never got to wear all those cute little Easter dresses that the other girls did. I had to laugh to myself that I continue to pick the “girlie” stuff while friends like Jelly are much more on the edge (that’s not a review but they are great finds and I fully plan on checking them out). Moving on…
Below is the “Lily Rug” dress, which is an interesting name for a dress that reminds me of anything but a rug. Perhaps it’s the tassles? So this dress is adorable and fun in a “why yes, that’s a big yellow bow” way. It has pants, top, yellow prim bow, and 2 flexi skirts - one with multi-colored hearts and one with muted hearts. Both have the well done flouncy crinoline that really moves as you walk. So while I know this probably isn’t a dress for everyone or everyday, I wanted to show a sampling of the range of items you can find at Ana’s shop. The Lily Rug dress is $175.
My favorite piece from Ana is the “Stripey Suspender” dress, which is top, pants, jacket (that’s where the suspenders come in) and prim skirt. I just love it all around. I don’t know how new it is, but it’s on the “new” wall, along with a dozen or so other dresses and outfits. She also has tattoos and very fun-colored bangles (currently wearing “Snowy Orange”), so I’m certain there’ll be something there that works for everyone. The Stripey Suspender dress is $125 and bangles are $25, which you can’t beat.
Visit Sh*t Happens and the rest of the shops at the Lame Designs mall.
