Last Call Catwalk Part II (womens)

Yes! Part deux of Last Call’s Catwalk collection is here and just in time for the weekend when you hopefully have more time to take these works of art - yes, that’s hyperbole and yes it’s warranted - out on the SL town.

I am no designer but I have to imagine it’s incredibly hard to stay inspired when you’re releasing so much, so often. However, I know Ginny has been especially excited about these collections in part because they actually inspire those of us wearing her designs. I particularly like the way Caliah Lyon keeps showing us how she mixes with Ginny’s pieces.

Catwalk part II doesn’t disappoint in any way. Each design, while dramatic and very special, is ready-to-wear for so many occasions. My favorites in this release are the dresses…and I will show you why. (click on any pics for full size)

First is “Marlene” - and though it comes with numerous skirts (four actually) - the fully bustled skirt with amazingly perfect sculpted bow is my preferred look for this gorgeous gown. You also get a full skirt (un-bustled), straight skirt and short skirt, two tank separates (solid and slinky), dress bodice, two skirt bases, and then tons of layers so you can mix it up with other pieces in your closet. Finally, you also get the cutest pair of tied panties too. I adore this dress and will now go about the task of finding somewhere to wear it ;)

Next is “Lida,” which is my favorite of the pant sets in this release. Lida has light breeches (which I copied and shortened to put into Lyra’s boots), an incredibly ornate jacket, sculpted sleeves with fur accents (yum!), shoulder snaps which are perfect and come in two sizes to best fit your shoulders, and then if you should choose to wear the breeches longer, two sets of sculpted cuffs (smooth and slouchy). Imagine the mix and match opportunities with these great pieces.

Then there’s “Aeryn,” which is a very sophisticated autumn suit that comes with two jackets (one with lace corset and one without), skirt base, flexi skirt, and two types of jacket sleeves (laced and plain). I stupidly didn’t get any snaps of the lace corseted jacket facing forward but you can see all of Ginny’s ads here of course. Check out the back of the jacket! That’s something unexpected and makes the suit special back to front. I think this is a great transition design as many of us move into fall.

lc-aeryn.jpg

Another of my favorites is “Marguerite,” which like so many of these designs, has numerous ways to wear it. I think it’s very old hollywood actually…I’ve picked my two favorite combinations for the skirts though I must tell you, there are tons more ways to do this. With this design you get several finishing accents to polish the look - a feather boa and two wraps, with and without brooch. Then there’s the long, ruffle bustled skirt, full skirt, straight skirt, and two short skirts! Yes, you read right - that’s five skirt options! You get the most sexy top on different layers and all the necessary skirt bases to wear with whatever combination you choose. My favorite of the skirts were the tiered bustled skirt and the short, adorned skirt.

This is “Estella” with the richest chocolate burnout trousers and velvet jacket. Also perfect for autumn. I hope you see some of the detail on the trousers in this completely un-retouched snap because the color and texture are simply scrumptious (and no photo treatment from me should take away from how it looks in-world). The red velvet jacket comes with and without shirt, and you can add the sculpted sleeves if you like. Of course, you also get two types of sculpted cuffs as well.

lc-estella.jpg

Finally this is “Yasmin,” which is a gorgeous gown accented with antique lace trim. It comes with both a full skirt and straight skirt. The bodice is provided with and without the delicate shrug - and of course, all those pieces are also offered on alternate layers for mixing later on. Some people like dramatic sleeves and some don’t, but I adore them on this dress (worn with shrug top) and think they create a beautifully different look that will make you stand out. Yasmin also comes in other colors that you can see on the Last Call blog.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go pester Blue Hair for locations to sport these lovelies ;)

New from Maitreya and Deka

Here’s some newness as we inch toward a much needed weekend (at least for me)…

First from Maitreya - 2 great new hairstyles for those who like the short ones. These are “Rae” (left and right) and “Suya” (in the middle), and they’re $125L each for 2 colors in each pack (with and without optional glow attached). Onyx has done it again IMHO and I love them both. Though I usually stick with darker colors, I especially liked the silver textures and expect this might be a new fave color.

While you’re there, Maitreya also has new runway animated poses, which I didn’t get because well, I don’t catwalk, but I did try them and they’re very dramatic and fun.

Maitreya!

Then…Elena Durnan of Deka Fashions keeps getting better and better - and yet her prices are still unbeatable. Seriously.

Here are two new looks from Deka - and I particularly like the tops on both outfits. Quite versatile all around.

This is “Saffron,” which comes in several colors - top and fun cropped bottoms. I really like the tops for the textures, rich colors and detail. Both top and bottom have very realistic shading. Saffron is only $80L.

Then there’s “Mirella,” with a sexy little cardigan that I love. Both top and bottom have very subtle floral detail and the trousers, a drawn belt. Mirella is only $70L.

The necklace I am wearing is the new charm necklace from Miam Miam (Pearlie Pedro), which I am kind of obsessed with (in a good way) and the shoes in the Mirella snaps are the Phlats from Tekilah Elytis I raved about yesterday.

Get Your Scuplties On

How about some more sculpted accessories fun? Here are some awesome sculpted shoes and bags from Tekilah Elytis (with thanks to Jelly for making the introduction).

First, I am totally in love with these sculpted “Phlats.” I’m talking like humpage level love, which might be weird until you try them on. I felt the same way when I bought the perfect MaryJane flats from elka Lehane at BF! And these are polkadotted so now you can have it both ways.

The Phlats come in two styles - white and black trim. Each is easy color change (10 colors), and scripted to add or remove the bows and/or straps as your style dictates. You change colors and bow/strap styles by clicking on the left shoe and choosing from your handy dialog box.

Here are some ginormous collages so you can see the colors (and both sets have different colors so I would recommend getting both if you can). Each set is $299L.

And white trim…

Then we have this beauteous sculpted purse, which also rocks. It’s only available with Tekilah’s sculpted “Crisis” heels until the end of August. So, not sold separately at this point, but I hope that she’ll put it out for all of you bag lovers as a purchasable single (I have also seen it in gray, which I love) when this great deal is over…

Speaking of the Crisis heels, here they are. These sculpted heels were created to literally match every color in your wardrobe - thus avoiding a fashion crisis. And I do mean every color. These are scripted with 45 color/pattern options (in color/pattern families: reds, blues, greens, yellows, classic colors, and patterns). In addition, not only can you easily change color or pattern, you can easy tint your shoes, change heel style, tint the heel and autosize the shoe for perfect fit! Someone else needs to do the math on how many combinations are possible with these heels because my undergrad degree is in broadcast journalism and that makes me number dumb. The crisis heels with bonus bag are $399L.

Tekilah has several small store locations available to you, where she also sells some fantastic kicks (trainers, sneakers) and home goods. But I found her at this location.

I hope you like!

Hit Me (no really)

So I was intrigued by the Hitman Suit that Truth put out today - would it work on a girlie girl? Well yes it does in fact xD. But instead of me girling it up and making it all fluffy and totally un-hitmanish, Jelly did a much better job than I could have at bloggin it. That, plus the new gun AO that she was playing with all night from Jonny Dusk (5ifth Order), makes the perfect combination.

Check it out.

Oh and here’s me girling it up cuz you know I had to. Sorry! :P (photo on the left courtesy of Puma <3)
