Okies it might not be an appropriate occasion for that twist on a really bad song :P. Of course, if you haven’t heard it then you have no idea what I am nattering about…but, it’s definitely time for Sh*t Happens to open in a new location and with it, the release of the “Kawaii Kappuke-ki” outfit, among other new releases. As a reminder, the name means “cute cupcake” - and it’s pretty sweet.
I had a great time at Ana’s opening and the new build is fantastic. It’s right next door to Gaia Goodnight’s Darkstar Designs, so be sure to take your time exploring between the two stores. I only took a quick peek inside Darkstar, but yup, I will be back. In addition, Ana has hair from Overdose on hand so you can check out some demos while you’re there.
Now for the Cupcake
There’s a ton packed into this release: high tops, cupcake backpack, 2 sets of bangles, mismatched socks, skirt base, skirt, top, sweater, 2 ties (one with prim beads and pins), and gloves. You get all this for only $375L, which is more than fair and just look how much fun it is. The shoes alone have been making me giggle for an hour. (click for full size)

I had a whole lot of people ask me when this was going to be out when I previewed it with Ana’s pictures a few weeks ago…so go and buy it now
Oh and even if you don’t do cutiecupcake things, take a look at the store anyway because there are more new releases to be had.

Lux Yao’s new collection of “Couture Cocktails” at Amaretto is sure to be a success given the variety of dresses, the colors and the styles. Modeled by some of SL’s most well-known faces, you can see the full collection at Lux’s blog. I picked two of my favorites to show you and they couldn’t be more opposite, which says something about the breadth of the line. In addition to the dresses, each comes with a notecard that details how to make the cocktail you are about to put on
Nice touch.
First up is “Shady Lady,” which is very retro but with a more modern cut on top. It’s a rich, plum 3/4 dress with flexi skirt, prim shoulders, gloves and wrist attachments, top and skirt base. I really like the skirt - the color, the print and the way it moves. The texturing is excellent and bonus, no modding needed on the skirt for me - though it’s copy, so you can if you need to without fear of a mishap. I actually preferred it without the shoulder accents, so you have that option too. The hair I am wearing is Marly’s Existentialist in black, which is very fun if you’re looking for something different. Shady Lady is $275 - as are all the dresses in this line. And now for something completely different…this is “Night Cap,” which is truly a high fashion-inspired design. I told Lux this today, that my boyfriend seemed to be *really* taken with it. I think it appeals to the “I like a girl in red stockings” part of a man
So interpret this piece anyway you want as that’s what you can do with couture. Night Cap comes with a fun flexi hat, flexi skirt, prim belt, tights, top and skirt base. You *can* wear it without the belt (which you may need to mod, but it’s easy), but the skirt probably needs an anchor since it’s a drop waist design. I am wearing the “Dare” pumps by Fally at Shiny Things in black.

Check out the fashion and great new poses too at Amaretto!
