Sweet, young thing?
Ingenue generally refers to a sweet, innocent, young woman. So let’s pretend I am always sweet and innocent while I show you two of my favorites from the newness at Betty Doyle’s Ingenue. I like to mix and match retro pieces with the more modern, so I have been an avid follower of Betty’s and others who do the retro thing so well.
My favorite of the two I am showing you is “Seafood Mama,” which comes with two main looks. I prefer the jumper top and pants (with sculpted sleeves on the blouse and pant cuffs dontchaknow?). It’s incredibly well done - perfect shading, wrinkles in all the right places and great buttons. So with the outfit you get: blouse, sculpted sleeves, jumper top (jacket), jumper pants, sculpted cuffs, skirt (system) and skirt base - all for $250L.

Next is “Audrey,” which is a new release - very elegant, but definitely not stuffy with plunging back. It comes quite simply with top, skirt base, flexi skirt and sculpted bow, which is a nice touch. My snaps don’t show the subtle color all that well, because it’s definitely not a basic black - it’s a more smoky black or a cross between brown and black (brack?). I saw this dress at the recent Mischief Cove fashion show (grats to Miko for putting on a fashion show that didn’t make me cranky despite crashing!) so I am glad I am taking a closer look now. Audrey is also $250L.
My earrings are the “Star is Born” hoops in white from my favorite funky prim crack dealer, Woo’s. Wednesday Soon has a boatload of hoops in a million colors and patterns for you to check out.
