Classic Autumn Trenches from Shai
You may have seen that Shai Delacroix just released four fantastic trench coats, perfect for fall weather. But if you haven’t or haven’t decided to buy yet, lemme give you a little push in the Casa Del Shai direction to pick your favs. Here are mine…
These are the “Natascha” (red) and “Libertine” (gray plaid) trenches, and they’re fabulous.
Each one of the designs (and there are four in the collection) are different, so it’s not just “pick your color” but more “pick your poison.”
The red trench, Natascha, has both system skirt trench bottom and prim trench bottom. I know why people prefer prims, but when the texturing is this good, I prefer system (blasphemy!). So you get gloves, jacket, skirt base, system trench and prim trench.
The Libertine design makes great use of prim accents - collar, cuffs and trench bottom. There is no system option in the Libertine trench at all. Here’s a closer look at the prims.
Both prim skirts on my shape needed quite a bit of resizing and I have made no secret of the fact that I am seriously handicapped in that department. I did eventually give up and Shai was good enough to fit them for me on my shape. Most non-designer people are far better at this than me so due to shame, I will now be taking formal lessons
I really love these coats - and I know you will too if you haven’t already made your way to Casa Del Shai. Each trench is $400L and well worth it.
