SecondWave Apparel: New Autumn Tops
Sioxie Legend has been in SL for nearly a year, designing for I think, nearly as long. Over this time she’s been honing her skills at SecondWave Apparel, providing designs that feature eye popping colors and rich, realistic textures.
My first exposure to Sioxie’s work was the Lace Tanks released in August, which people seemed to love. Recently, she’s released a ton of new tops that are perfect for spicing things up color wise. They’re all great for layering, which is much appreciated.
First are the “Garbo” tops. They come in a host of cool tones and….

Fabulous shimmery prints…

But the real surprise with these tops are the backs, where the fabric drapes perfectly.

I am wearing the Ingrid high waisted trousers from Last Call as the tops were a tad short otherwise.
More from SecondWave after the cut…
Next are the “Cropped Sweaters. Instead of baring the belly (they’re not too short by the way, but it’s fall and I am cold :P), I paired them with a jumper dress from Sh*t Happens that’s still one of my favorite little skirts from forever ago. Ana is having a 50% off sale by the way, so I would go if you haven’t!

The whole outfits looks something like this - and those leg warmers you see are new (or will be!) from my woo hulk, Wednesday Soon’s Woo’s. My shoes, again, are my beloved Aileen heels in ivory from Last Call.

Yesterday Carissa did a gorgeous round up of the “Angelina” rouched tops, but since I had already taken the pictures, here they are again. I agree with Carissa that I would have loved a longer jacket layer (or shirt and underwear layer) to make them longer. Same with the Garbo tops above. To fill the gap here, I added the “Ceinture Militaire” in black from Fancy Schmancy’s. Holy prim work - Galea’s accessories are beautiful.

The tops come in 13 colors (strangely, I seem to have only snapped 12 though) and have beautiful rouched fronts, set off by a gazillion metal buttons. As with all her tops, each is provided on all three layers. (No belt here to show you what they might look like without one)

Finally, I was reminded last night by a pal that I should mention that there are some seam issues with the tops. Meaning, they’re visible in some spots and in some poses. I, personally, am not bothered by them and don’t find they take away from the overall product - but you might feel differently, so I’m mentioning it.
Sioxie also released the “Hayworth” top in a bunch of colors and a sleeveless mock turtleneck that you can find at her main store.
