Amarantine collection from CKS Designs

The best laid plans…I had several things already set to go for tonight but then Kit Maitland of CKS Designs had to go and release something incredibly Gillianish…and by that I mean her “Amarantine” collection of coats, sweaters, skirts, tights and trousers in a set of great fall colors and patterns. I couldn’t help myself.

There are not enough hours in my very short SL day (on weekdays) to take photos of all the ways to wear these pretties, so here are just a few. I suspect these new releases will be much loved, so hopefully others will show you their favorite colors and mixes as well.

Each of the main pieces (tights, trousers, sweaters, skirts and coats) can be purchased as singles (actually they’re pairs I think); packs of everything in your favorite color combo; or one big, fat, honking, omgthatswaytoomuchformetoorganize pack :P

I picked the chocolate/navy pack to show here….two of my favorite color combinations.

More after the cut…

Now when I say these packs are BIG, I mean they are GINORMOUS. Each piece is provided on every layer available and then layers I didn’t even know I had ;) There are nubby wool textures and silky crepe contrasts with each and every piece. Matching ribbons, contrasting ribbons, turtlenecks, scoopnecks and tailored trousers with optional prim cuffs. The coat has a prim that fit me very well with no adjustments and my only wish would have been for a slightly more detailed button. (Note: I realize that many people won’t want to wear the top bow with the coat…but if you know me, you know that if there’s a bow, I am wearing it even if I have to attach it to my last attachment point)

I think my favorite combination is the skirts and tights with the turtleneck and ribbons. If you’re looking to streamline, of course every single top is also provided without the textured ribbon and you needn’t add the prim bow on the front. As I said, I won’t be doing that…

The wool texture on the navy coat is lovely, as is the chocolate turtleneck, which was my favorite of all the tops provided. I didn’t show the scoopnecks because I ran out of time and it’s way past my bedtime. Next time, I’ll do better :)

Pick up your favorites or double your inventory with the obesepack(:P) at CKS Designs in Selby.

Thanks Gillian for the lovely post…AND the lovely pics. I’m lmao at the ‘double your inventory with the obese pack’…that’s what I should’ve called it!!!

And YAY for bows…glad to know I’m not the only bow-crazy person out there. If there’s a way to add a bow to an outfit…chances are good I’ll do it. :P
