Feel Rich with Savvy?
After too long a break for me ;), Dakota Buck released a new collection at Savvy? themed, “Feel Rich.” And it does.
The collection includes everything for a casually elegant avatar - trousers, capris, detailed waistcoats, cocktail dresses and notably, Dakota’s first foray into sculpted prims and jewelry. I have made no secret of how much I appreciate the designs from Savvy? I’ll not so quietly continue to bang that drum here with no exception. Those who have come to love ‘Kota’s fashions for their detail and thoughtful application of the system layers won’t be disappointed. Yet those who haven’t yet dipped a toe in will find versatile pieces from which to build a unique look.
I have three favorites in today’s release, starting with the jewelry - the “Repairs” necklace. Shown here in lapis and silver, it is a beautiful, versatile piece with an antique feel. It also comes in amber and onyx jewels with either silver or gold chains. It will be a staple in my wardrobe because it doesn’t overpower the clothing, yet adds just enough I think.

The dress is my favorite dress in the collection. This is “Quarter to Three” featuring a full system skirt in a heavier fabric, like a heavy linen. The bodice makes this both sexy and modest - if that’s possible. It’s cut to reveal and emphasize some of your assets without being obvious.

EDIT - I found ‘Kota’s Knickers! The cutest little pants can be yours too
I missed these and was totally going commando in my original post but they’re in there with the Quarter to Three dress. So wear them.

More of Savvy? after the cut…
Another great dress is “Little Black Ache,” a clever take on every woman’s staple offline and on. The flexi skirt is provided in two sizes, which is greatly appreciated for easy fitting. As it happens, I didn’t have to adjust the small size at all. The back of the dress is finished with a gold clasp, adding simple detail to an elegant dress. I added the matte red tights for a little color and contrast to the silky fabric of the dress.

My favorite non-dress in the collection is “Dear Stephanie,” which as you may have read, is a birthday gift to Stephanie Misfit. Lucky girl. Lucky us though for getting our hands on it. And, here’s where the sculpties come in - the sculpted blouse cuffs blend perfectly. You can wear this with the vest or without and with or without the collar as well. My favorite piece are the hip hugging capris accented with silver buttons and hand drawn cuffs.

Layers, layers, layers. Don’t forget to unpack the box of extra layers provided with each outfit. Given the tones that feature heavily in Savvy? fashion, there is so much you can do with these pieces.

Finally, a unisex suit called, “Charm School,” which is a richly textured ensemble of waistcoat, light sweater, collared shirt with ribbon tie, and perfectly creased trousers. Adding a little color, I added my Aileen heels in flame from Last Call and an orange wrap bracelet from Calla to play off the riboon a little bit.

Speaking of layers…they’re all there. Without the waistcoat you’ll find the trousers have a great skinny belt, allowing for pairing them smartly with a whole host of tops.
