Close-up on Amaretto
You probably know that Lux Yao of Amaretto has only been designing for somewhere around five months. Looking at her designs might fool you though. She has quite a range of designs in circulation from casuals to sweeping gowns. She has also dabbled in jewelry, shapes and poses. Is there anything this woman doesn’t have a hand in?
While we wait for Lux to release her “Amaretto Sour” line (I have seen a few of the edgy pieces on the woman herself by the way - so yes, this is not so subtle pressure
), Woo helped me take a closer look at some of Lux’s latest dresses. Not all are brand spanking new, but newish.
Starting with the appropriately named limited edition “Widow,” featuring a wine and embroidered bodice, and pillbox hat and veil. You can see the evolution of Lux’s texturing especially from the last few releases - the bodice is detailed and delicate.

The skirt is the same mesh veil - very sheer and flexi. We both had to mod the skirt to get it right (frankly, I’m not sure that I succeeded completely but it’s not the skirt, it’s me). This shot also shows how very un-mournful the dress really is with a deep, plunging back cut.

My absolute favorite new dress is the red “Stella” - with prim sleeves and system skirt bottom. It would have worked better if Woo was wearing a dress named, “Blanche,” but her dress is “Lilianne.” Notice how she is still wearing her mournful hat? It’s because she wanted to wear Stella too.

More from Lux after the cut…
Stella has a fabulous heavy silk texture that I hope shows a little bit in my pictures. Lilianne features fluttery prim sleeves, deep cut top and a light tweed skirt - also a system skirt.

Stella also comes with a skinny belt so I had to add another picture to show you that. Now Woo is smiling because soon we’ll be changing and she can stop being so covetous of my dress. Wednesday is also wearing a jewelry set by Lux, called “Oopsy Daisy.”

Finally, I am wearing “Chariot” and Woo’s wearing, “Good Seed” in colors my avatar could never pull off ^^ Chariot is highly-unique with three prim skirt options that range from whimsical to downright dramatic. Good Seed is much more self explanatory in cut but surely not in color.

Below are the longer skirt options. I could single-handedly lag my home sim in this skirt
Though I don’t believe there’s much, if any, flexi in it so perhaps not. I love the strapless bustier, also provided with straps.

I’m going to leave you with a parting shot of Wednesday just because I think it’s pretty. Isn’t she? The necklace set is, of course, the beautiful group gift from Muse, “Dauphine Limited Edition” in jet/silver.

Take a trip over to Amaretto if you haven’t been by lately.
