Formal and Informal from Savvy?

Most who know me know that when Dakota Buck releases something new at Savvy?, I take notice. I’ve had a love affair (sorry Blue Hair) with her layers, casuals and colors perfect for matching since the beginning. My love affair continues with ‘Kota’s first foray into formal wear … and it’s a beauty.

This is “Janine” in signature - a color combination appropriately named because when I first saw it, I thought, “those are absolutely Savvy? colors.” This elegant number also comes in other rich colors (shown below), and all in beautiful silk fabrics with perfect transitions from prim skirt to bodice. The gown is accented with gold ribbons - the straps and bodice, culminating with a skirt-length gold ribbon that sets off a very dramatic open back. As it happens, navy and gold was also my favorite.

Dakota also released her “Angry Leggings” that ironically, made me quite happy :P There are a gazillion legging in SL but none like these that I have seen. You can wear them on their own or under your favorite mini, shorts, etc. I love the laces and little flexi ties at the bottom. These surely make leggings less basic.

Janine in other colors - available as a discounted fatpack. They’re all quite beautiful. I’m wearing Dakota’s “Repairs” necklace from her previous “Feel Rich” collection because I haven’t taken it off much since it was released. (Note: the hair is Armidi’s Milano in Pearl, which comes with the Midnight pack. I’ve been wearing it on and off and quite like the contrast from my usual dark hairs for a totally “un-Gillian” change).

And my selection of some of the other legging colors. Not shown are green and charcoal because I ran out of room and time ;) There are 7 colors available in all.

Finally, something quite different. This is “Concubine Trash” and it’s free for Savvy? Group members as a Halloween themed outfit. Totally unexpected but as with everything from Dakota, the texturing and style is perfect. It comes with a red and black bustier, ripped stockings and naughty hot pants. You also get all the layers - even a freebie has everything we love Savvy? for.

One of the highlights in my fashion-related SL experience so far has been following (in a non stalker way *mostly*) Dakota’s evolution as a designer. May it continue.
