Close-up on Launa Fauna new skins

…From Launa Fauna’s new Chai skin line of course. I said earlier I am not around as much but when Launa IMs you and invites you to take a closer look, you don’t hesitate. They are so worth jumping in-world and and trying out. Let me show you why.
First a reminder that these snaps have not been post processed in any way. Simply cropped and framed.
There are five skin tones in the new line - and each tone has eight makeups. Here’s a look at each tone and then I’ll drill down a bit into my favorite makeups. Also, you can submit ideas for new makeups you’d like to see via the suggestion box at the Freelon shop. I know I’ll be doing that as I’m most after the very red lip of the Mistress makeup, with the smoky eye from the Torrid makeup.
Tones from left to right: Sugar (Nude), Cream (Torrid), and Ginger (Mistress)

Tones from left to right: Honey (Becca), Cinnamon (Celebrity)

My favorite tone is the cream tone. The make-ups in all the tones range from dark and smoky to barely there. There is literally something for every mood, outfit, occasion and time of day. They are all very, very well done. And yes, those are strong, realistic brows that I happen to love.
For me, make-ups are far and away the most important part of a skin. But that said, the Chai body is impressive (please try a demo to do your own inspection of bits and butts - I was happy with them). The shading is subtle, the tummy is soft and feminine, the collarbone is defined but not protruding and the shoulder blades are lovely. I am showing you the body wearing my favorite shape from Lemon (Sugarblue), which has a few more curves than my own shape. I do not wish to be broadly offensive :p

In addition to the skin you purchase for $1200L each or significantly discounted packs, you get a freckled skin. The packs also come with face lights and a bald for eyebrows (which are tintable!!). I would encourage you - if you are not great at sliders - to use the caps that come with the demos in various colors to get the brows that best match your hair and tone. They are provided in black, brunette, blonde, white and red.
More make-ups and the freckles after the jump…
I mentioned the cream tone as my favorite, and it is. But I also want to show you some of the other make-ups and my favorite make-up/tone combinations. I warn you, this is a line of skins where you may find yourself buying packs in numerous tones because the look changes so much as you go lighter or darker.
My absolute favorite two in the cream tone are fittingly, Torrid and Midnight. Torrid (shown earlier in cream) has the deepest, darkest eye shadow and neutral, glossy lip, while Midnight (below) is a slightly more gray smoked eye and matte lip. Offline as well as on, I favor a very smoky eye so I was especially drawn to these two (freckled version on the right).

In the darker tones, my favorite was Becca in honey (left) and Celebrity in Cinnamon. I think Becca’s blue eyes and plum lips play well against a darker toned skin in particular. Celebrity, in the darkest available tone, is exotic yet wearable with coppery lips and eyes. Both skins are shown in their freckled options below.

The two natural makeups are Nude (shown on the left in the lightest tone, Sugar) and Cole (on the right in Cream), are lovely neutral, daytime looks if you’re more of a natural girl or trying to be.

Finally, a close-up of the most dramatic of the make-ups that I favored. This is Mistress in the ginger tone. The creamy, bright lips and light eye is both modern and classic if that’s at all possible. Thankfully, red lips will never go out of style.

I also want to mention that Launa uses a fantastic system of a “credit card” that your avatar holds as you purchase your discounted fatpacks. No need to IM her when you want to buy - you simply right click and select “card” and the money is taken right out of the card that you’re holding in your virtual hand. I have never seen this done before and it worked brilliantly.
I hope you’ll all check these out if you haven’t already done so. I heart them.
