I realized that my recent time in SL has been spent acquiring items that can probably best be described as “jewel-like” - be they actual jewelry, metallic fabrics, shiny party dresses, glitzy boots or other “precious metals.”

Here are some of my personal favorite “precious metals” - newly acquired and older; clothing, accessories and makeups. I can’t include them all - and there are so many more I wanted to - so if there are other metallics that you love, let me know.

Starting with one of my favorite necklaces from Lyra Muse at Last Call Covet, called “Chloe.” It’s delicate, sculpted and perfect. The makeup is Vogue Canimal Skin Glow (red) from Canimal and Celestial Studios. The sequined tank is from It’s All Good and comes on all the layers for easy use in numerous ways. My hair is “The St. Moritz” from Armidi and natural brown eyes from Miriel.

On the silvery side, two sparkly dresses from <3 Cupcakes that make me think of the holidays. I added jewelry from Muse for both, and the silver “Selece” heels from Last Call Vamp. Though you know this, both hairs are from ETD

This beautiful necklace is actually a freebie from Siyu Suen’s Illusions and comes in several metals. I am completely floored by Siyu’s creations every time I go there - the wings, the masks, the hats and more. I ought to wear more wings I think The top is a new tunic from Karamia that I love with jeans in particular (note: I’m not wearing the prim sleeves here). The earrings are my favorites from Diamonde - simple gold drops.

The simple tunic from Karamia is paired with Lyra’s new “Ninette” flats that I LOVE. The textures on the shoes are ornate and luxurious, so while they’re “practical” I wouldn’t call them casual. I myself can only wear flats at the moment due to broken toes, but if I had these offline, I would be a lot less cranky about my shoes. My hair is from Truth.

Another necklace - this time from Bare Rose called “Silent Ageha” (it also comes with earrings that I have cleverly hidden :/). In typical Bare Rose fashion, this piece is very inexpensive and very lovely with an intricate design that makes you want to zoom in. The tank again is from It’s All Good, the hair is “Abigail” from Armidi and the makeup is the Vogue classic silver 2 from Celestial Studios.

Next is the chocolate pleated neck babydoll from Armidi [Gisaci] paired with silk trousers from the Last Call Candice ensemble and Lyra’s new “Emberlei” boots (blogged previously). The necklace is the sculpted rose necklace with heavy chain and clasp from Swallowtail. I love the prim work.

Now for something more formal. New from Adam N Eve, this is “Apertif” in silver. I own quite a few silver gowns in SL but I have to say, this might have to be the most risque with a completely sheer back - right down to the *ahem* small of your back Apertif is actually several outfits rolled into one release so you can wear it as a pantsuit, minidress or gown.

As mentioned, the makeups that I am wearing most in this post are the Canimal Glow Vogue skins. I think they’re perfect for the theme with sparkles and shimmer in bold colors. If you’re a Vogue fan but don’t own these yet, maybe it’s time to check them out again.

Like many of my fellow shoppers, I fell a little in love with the Armidi [Gisaci] woven coat. I chose the dark midnight color with a subtle shimmer. I know I tend to use a lot of superlatives in my blog, so here’s another - fabulous. The fit, the cut, the texture…I was a very happy cartoon character in this to be sure.

I’ll wrap this up with one of my all time favorite outfits from a favorite designer, Savvy? I couldn’t very well blog about “precious metals” without including the gold “Wilhelmina” suit from Dakota’s “Mean Business” line could I? No. I’ve blogged it before when it was released, so this is an encore - this time accessorized with the “Repairs” necklace (onyx/gold) also from Savvy? and the “Freja” bag from Bare Rose. And if I finally get around to blogging my favorite pantsuits, you might even see it again :p
