By now you know that Minnu Palen has released her Generation 3 skins to the masses at MM Skins. But have you fought the lag to pick up demos or pick your favorites? If not, here’s a look at the tones, the make-ups, and the body to show you the very wide variety of options available. They are surely some of the most beautiful skins in Second Life with both extreme, high fashion looks to barely there, natural day make-ups.

Brief reminder that outside of the first photo above, I do not retouch any of my skin photos at all. Cropped and framed only.

First, below are my favorite make-ups from each of the four tones: fair, pale, tan and dark. Then I’ll show you the full range of make-ups as well as the body.

Fair - Vela: Gently green shadowed eyes and natural, matte lip

Pale - Royale Red: Earthy eyes, bronzed cheeks and glossy, red lips. Definitely a night time make-up!

Tan - Sexy: A natural, beachy make-up with glossy, neutral lips

Dark - Frost: Strikingly light eyes and lightly glossed, plum lip

Now to the body, which is one of the best in terms of soft lines and an idyllic feminine body. There is subtle shading and highlighting that even on a small AV frame, doesn’t overpower the overall feel of the skin. I chose the pale skin tone - my favorite - to show the glowy and extremely beautiful body. It’s hard to choose a favorite part, but if I were forced to choose, I would say the toned tummy or the clavicle. The decadent lingerie shown is from Insolence.

From dimples on the lower back, to the tips of the toes, the skin has obviously been carefully labored over. A hybrid skin, it’s a good option for those who wish to look realistic but not shockingly so.

Interestingly, my only complaint is not at all related to the product but to the names of the make-ups. Some are descriptive (ie Gray) and some are not (Nina, Vela, Heidi for example). When you’re trying to carefully plan an outfit, I can see it being challenging knowing which is what. One thing I do really like is that there are different make-ups available for each tone - a recognition that they wouldn’t all look good on every tone. Although, I would LOVE to see the Dark-Frost make-up available in Pale or Tan tones

As mentioned earlier, the range of make-ups currently available for each tone is very broad. There are opportunities for extremely creative photo taking or just hanging around on an average day in SL. You can choose a wilder look or something more subtle - and it’s all unmistakably Minnu. There may be one or two that I am missing here but you can find them all in-world easily.
