Mellie 2 from Blowpop
I am a bit late to the Blowpop party, but perhaps this will act as a little reminder to check them out if you haven’t.
I had the Mellie 1 skins from Annyka Bekkers‘ Blowpop but as she knows, they didn’t work as well for my shape as I hoped (the nose specifically). Mellie 2 - and now the Semi-Precious line - suit me much better, so this entry highlights some of my favorite make-ups and impressions on the overall look of the body.
Before that, a reminder that these pictures have not been post-processed in any way.
The Semi-Precious collection is three core eye make-up color styles (Sapphire, Amethyst, and Emerald) with four make-ups each, and provided in five different tones (Vanilla, Cream, Honey, Caramel and Cinnamon). The middle tone - Honey - is my favorite, and all the make-ups shown here are in the Honey tone.
My pick in the make-ups are the emeralds. Bright and shimmery greens with beautiful highlights and soft glosses. Below is Emerald Clear Gloss, which is actually The Favorite of my favorites. I think the lips are perfect.

The eyebrows are tintable, but getting the right shade can be a little frustrating. The “out of the box” color is a slightly red brunette, so providing already tinted brows similar to options offered by Chai, TaP and Celestial Studios, to best match common hair colors, would be a welcome addition.
The tones are well blended and the make-up combinations, fantastic. I always say I am all about the make-up and I was not disappointed with these in the slightest. They’re applicable year round and in fact, some of them actually make me think of spring. Below is Sapphire Black Violet Gloss, a more dramatic option available.

I typically prefer a lighter touch on the brows for a more natural look, but tinted, I was happier.
My thoughts on the body and more make-ups after the jump…
The body is great - particularly the breasts - which predictably, I am not showing. I can only say they are excellent for my personal tastes. My other favorite parts of the body are the backside (perky) and the ribcage (defined, but not too pronounced).

The only part of the body I am not in love with is the collar bone area. On my shape, I found the shading a bit too harsh. Slightly less highlighting would work a bit better for me - again, a personal preference.

If you’re particular about hands and feet, you’ll be very happy with these. The hands are carefully done with a neutral polish that will work well for every day. The feet - well they’re avatar feet - but they’re as well done as can be I think.

The back is lovely, with defined and feminine shoulder blades and lower back. The back is typically not on the top of the list of most admired parts of a skin, but for me, it’s one of the most important details and definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.

My final pick in the make-ups is Amethyst Paprika Gloss, with lightly shadowed eyes and peachy glossed lips. Of all the combinations, this is the most “springy” to me, which is something that I’m longing for in frigid Northeast US!
