Simple, Sophisticated (and Hand Drawn)

Jonathan Hugo has been on a roll these last few weeks at Fuse. Though he’s still very new, his designs embody an understanding that even if you don’t feel like completely primming out your avatar, you still want to look sophisticated and put together. I would say the same of Decoy, Savvy? and many others that I follow religiously of similar styles.

Very simple but sophisticated like these Manhattan skirts and Empire blouses - separates for business or casual wear from Fuse.

The skin I chose to complement the hand drawn textures in the blouses is the Boutique Parfait line of completely hand drawn skins from Tete a Pied. This is Strawberry Parfait 6, with a smoky blue eye and natural, glossed lip. I was excited for this line’s release and wasn’t disappointed at all. If you’re a fan of the hand drawn stylized look, these are a must try. Now, fans of both the hybrid and the hand drawn look can get their fix at TaP.

The shoes I am wearing are another triumph from Lyra Muse at Last Call Vamp. The Carys modern wedges come in our favorite rich leathers in garnet, black, chocolate and sapphire with a perfect tie at the back and gathers in all the right places. These will put a few inches on your avatars for sure and they’re so fun to wear. Also, if you’ve seen Lyra’s ads for these, I copied her outfit and have been wearing her wedges that way as well ;)

See more from Fuse after the jump…

The Empire blouses are my favorite of the two new releases at Fuse. With delicate woven lace, finished beautifully with silk collar and French cuffs, they are provided on the jacket and shirt/underwear layers in tucked versions to pair with the Manhattan skirts and untucked to wear with jeans or however else you want to mix them. I definitely appreciate the options with longer layers, as a delicate blouse should never end abruptly with the shirt layer only. The blouses come in pearl, sky, nude and blush at $165L each.

The Manhattan skirts are high-waisted blended wool with pretty, silver clasp closures at the back on the high-waisted jacket layer. They come in earth, olive, azure and black at $165L each.

The blouses also come in a sheer version that can be use for layering with a camisole or I suppose nothing at all (though that wouldn’t be safe for business in SL lol). Predictably, I am not showing you that, but here’s a closer look at the blush color paired with hand drawn jeans from Decoy.

Wow, lovely as always. I LOVE the liv hair btw, excellent choice. I actually wanted to wear it in the Parfait ad but it didn’t fit the frame properly. You’ve fiinally convinced me to leave my workshop and get over to fuse!
