You know that fair girl that burns before tanning? The one with the freckled nose? The one with the sensitive skin?

In SL too, I most often wear fair skins because I personally find them the most beautiful for my AV and a truer reflection of my real self. Of course, many of my friends often sport the tanned look, which suits them, but I regularly gravitate to the fairer tones if possible.

In this case, I’m talking about the Gen 4 Fair tone from Minnu Model Skins, which like the other darker tones, contains a wide-variety of make-up choices for a range of different looks. It’s by far my favorite MMs release to date…as I know it is for so many.

For this post, I’ve let the make-ups in the tone guide my clothing choices…and they took me in and out of my inventory for several hours. I’m impressed by the range of looks you can get with just one tone - or even just one skin, since each comes with 2 different eyebrows AND freckled versions.

I do have favorites though…make-ups #3 and #4 (shown here) are definitely 2 of my top picks.

I prefer the make-ups with the lightly-glossed lips best. Make-up #1 is a great choice for a fresh face. And before someone tells me that babydolls are done, I’m a huge fan of this one.

Even the more daring make-ups in the tone are completely wearable, such as #6.

Below I’m wearing the “Antonia” ensemble coming soon from AnnaH. Of course, it was named after artilleri’s Antonia Marat, one of the fabulous designers who is still thankfully utilizing the system skirt. Annah Whitfield’s homage to Antie is very classy and well done. I’m also wearing the Snake Vixen heels from Tesla.

#7 isn’t a make-up I will probably wear too much, given the lips are a little brighter than I typically wear day-to-day. But…

that said, it was an obvious choice for this new piece coming soon from Royal Blue. Marni has been hoarding a bit…and it’s time she put it all out for sale. She’s also working on hair (!!!!) and has even played around some more with poses (though I don’t know which she might sell). Wait ’til you see the completely original release she has coming up.

I couldn’t find the look I was going for with make-up #5 until I revisited my massive Kyoot Army folder. Saeya is closing the sale tonight, but there’s tons of new inventory coming and I can’t wait.

I haven’t gone in any discernible order here (sorry!), and it probably would have made sense to start with the Base make-up. However, I certainly don’t mean to overlook it, as it’s another favorite of mine. I am a huge fan of a clean face when done well. This is a perfect example.

I’ll finish this off with the brighter shades of make-up #2. It’s striking but still soft…another fave of mine.
