Oh Kari!

Menno Ophelia, in case you hadn’t heard, has finally opened Kari to the masses! It’s a project so many have watched closely and I’m so thrilled it’s finally here. I know how hard he’s been working (and may I just say, we have missed you as a regular in the KGB, Menno) so this is a very proud moment for Menno and all his friends.

The Kari inventory is still small but I expect that will expand exceedingly quickly given the success so far. In the meantime, there are awesome goodies to be had - from some of the best jeans I have seen since, hmmm Starley’s massive jeans release, fantastic sculpted color change caps and hats, hoodies with expertly done sculpted attachments and yup, the most rad high tops in SL!!11 (also check out the special “Celestial” pair available now).

You can also grab some creative pose props for your snapping pleasure - with incomparable pose contributions from Torrid Midnight.

I mean seriously, who doesn’t need a little dolly from time to time?

Finally, in case you haven’t been yet, the prices are incredibly reasonable. Nothing is over $250L - and he could charge a lot more IMHO.

Check out Kari and be sure to hit the Subscribomatic for future updates.

I went, and I love the work, but she’s perpetuating a trend I’m seeing more and more, that is making the sculptie portions of a clothing item unmodifiable. I like to tint my clothing to my own satisfaction, especially jeans since I usually wear shades of browns, maroons or olives. I wrote to ask her if I might purchase the prims for the jeans without the scripts, assuming it was the script making it no mod, but she said they were doing to so people wouldn’t steal the prim.

I’m sorry, but that makes no sense. I have plenty of wardrobe items with sculptie parts that are modifiable - I wouldn’t know where to begin to try to “steal” the sculpt.

Love the designers work, not happy with the attitude.

I also prefer prims that are mod - for tinting since everyone’s windlight settings are different. However, I can understand why a creator would choose to make them no mod as well.

I’m sorry you’re not happy with your purchases. Did you speak directly with Menno?

Yup, Menno is the one who informed me that the sculptie prims for the jeans were no mod to prevent theft.

    Ah well.

i got 2 pairs of shoes and a cute hat… i think maybe there is a way to make a mod prim un “stealable” but i have no clue how… yeah i like to mod to size stuff… and tint, etc…

i wonder how the hair ppl get away with leaving it mod… i heard there was a way to put a clear thing over the sculpt map… anyway, maybe they can find a way!!!

    great shop, loved it!

Sculpty maps can be protected adding an alpha chanel on the pic. This chanel isn’t seen by the sculpty system, and it hides the sculty map. Nephilaine Protagonist gave that hint long time ago.

I’m pretty sick of seeing fair customers paying the price of content theft.

    plus…
we are said Kari’s converse-like are “the most rad high tops in SL!”, so it might be true, but come on, it’s time to “create” new styles. We’re drowned by converse-like sneakers in sl!

Since the high tops are no mod, I’m just wondering if they’re full bright. Few things spoil an ensemble more than glow-in-the-dark sneakers in sims set to midnight, which is like half the sims in SL :-/
