Pin Me Up Bebe

I saw designs this week by Pin Upshaw, designer for Pin Up Dolls in the fashion feed but hadn’t heard of the store before. I logged in to some samples, but with a busy week, I’m a little late. Still, here’s my take - showing a few different ones and different colors. There are two styles at Pin’s stores - Pin Up is more consistent with the va va voom era and B-Line, slightly more modern adaptations.

Another late one on my part are the jewelry designs by Eyva Matova, who recently re-branded and opened her new store, Bebe, to much fanfare. All the jewelry I am wearing is by Eyva and there’s so much more in the store you should see. From left to right: Galaxy lime earrings, Sangria earrings, and After Six necklace in white trim (click for full size).

First from the B-Line offerings is “Sassy,” a skirt and top shown here in orange. You can wear it with the skirt or go for the little shorts option, which is cute with the belt that comes with the top. It also comes with matching bangles. Things I like about it are the color and the shading on the shirt. I do think the edges on the top could be more finished, but Pin is a new designer and this will be only the beginning. This outfit is $215L.

Next is “Lola,” which is from the Pin Up line. I felt a little bit exposed in this ^^, but in keeping with the pin up theme, I understand it. It comes with stockings, garter (pants layer), flexi skirt and two layers of bottoms so you can wear the garter if you choose. I am wearing the new hair from Celestial Studios in this snap, Veronica II in shadow, which is not retro at all but I wanted to show it :P. Lola is $250L.

Next is the “Bouquet Tea Roses” dress from the B-Line fashions, which is simply top, skirt base and flexi skirt. You can also wear it with the little shorts. This dress is $200L.

Finally, “Roberta” from the more retro Pin Up line is my favorite. Know why? Yep, because it’s simple, classic and makes the right use of a system skirt. You get top, skirt top, skirt base, system skirt, gloves, and prim glove cuffs. This outfit is $250L.

Lastly, I’ll point out that my friend, Aradia, finally got me to go back and try the Minnu Model skins from Minnu Palen again. I have been wearing this one for a day to get used to it :)

New Hair at Darkstar

This is quick because it’s past my bedtime. I tend to be too wordy anyway, soooo…

These are two new styles (of several new released) from Gaia Goodnight’s Darkstar Designs.

Syd is a short, punky unisex style that I love. Yes, it’s a departure from my typical girly hairs, but I do favor short styles pretty often - so I love this one. I needed to resize it - but it shrinks simply, so lucky me (and you). Also, if your wear prim eyelashes, as with most hairs that cover your eyes, you’ll get an annoying conflict. Take off your eyelashes or just be happy the hair is so great and don’t worry about it. These are the brown and black tones and each is $100L. You can get all colors for $450, which is a deal.

This next style is Tasha, which is obviously a fun little hat and straight, chunky do. The hat and the poof are both easy color change so pair it with whatever this fall and winter especially. Tasha is also $100L for singles.

Check them out at Darkstar Designs (along with Sh*t Happens next door)

Whole bunchanewstuff

Some newness all around this morning for me. I crammed it all into one picture because the amount of time I have spent in front of my computer over the last two days is not making my RL happy.

First, Kit Maitland is back after a break and she released this pretty little sundress, “Grace” in 5 colors. I really like the detailed lace and sweet bow (yay) on the back. Also, the skirt needed zero fitting on me so I was very happy about that. It’s quite a sheer linen texture, and comes with top, flexi bow, flexi skirt and skirt base. Each dress is $200L or you can get the pack with five for $500L. Visit CKS Designs and welcome back Kit!

The wigs in the snap are from Autumn Hykova’s Pixel Dust, which is totally new to me. Autumn’s been designing hair for only a few months but her styles are well done. Each hair pack comes with 2 colors for $149L. She has 43 color combinations available. Visit Pixel Dust.

Finally, the skins I am wearing are Starley’s reworked gold and silver Glitter skins from the Charmed line - now, for her Vogue line. They rock and as usual, you can pick them up for $1000L each or better yet, get them all (with bonus freckled skins) in each tone for a discounted $3000L. You probably already know that Canimal and Starley announced jointly that they have ported Canimal’s beautious Glow makeups to the Vogue skins and you can pick those up at both Celestial Studios and Canimal.

Have a great Saturday!

Last Call Moderno

Again, we’re gonna do something different because I may have created a monster in that Blue Hair likes to shop apparently. Anyways, I know the ladies stuff has been done so although I’m not trying to be a men’s fashion blogger, it’s fun to see Adec strike a pose - or shift + left arrow in this case.

The Last Call/Celestial Studios re-openings must have been crazy lag filled but Adec and I found a fairly empty corner in the men’s store. He chose his favorites as per the routine. Now note that he will never take off his blue hair but lucky him, upstairs from the clothes are hairs by Starley for the boys and she had blue!!!11 (BTW, you can also see great pics of two of the mens hairs on Carissa Crimson here so obviously ladies can indulge too). He was happy and I was tired so here’s a quick look.

Antonio - leather jacket, shirt and distressed jeans - $300L. I think this was both our favorite. He left his underoos on - those aren’t part of the outfit.

lc-mens-new_antonio.jpg

Colpine - blazer, sweater, shirt and jeans - $300. He’s wearing the scupltie/scripted cap and hair by Starley (all men’s hair - of which there is a lot - is above the men’s clothes at Last Call). He had to have this whole ensemble - I think he said something about it being a good Sunday outfit lol.

lc-mens-new_colpine.jpg

Ecco striped shirts and jeans - $275 (with prim cuffs) in three colors. A great basic and we’re both really liking the men’s jeans on all the outfits.

Skin ~ Naughty; Hair ~ Naughty and Celestial Studios; Dogtags ~ Xessories

Postscript: It’s been a fun week for me - wait it’s only Wednesday! Seriously though, I have said this to both Starley and Ginny, what a pleasure it was to be part of the newness at LC and CS in my own small way. They were patient, generous and completely kind whilst in the middle of a million and one things far more important. Actually, the whole Face of Style experience has been too much fun and fun is always welcome in my book :)
