Marni Grut has just wrapped up (or is wrapping up?) a massive sale at her brand Royal Blue. Only to make way for a whole slew of new inventory - including some of the goodies I fancied and will show you here.

It bears repeating that for me, Marni is one of the most interesting people I have met in SL (and one of the funniest). Some of her humor shows in her work at times - but no matter how you view the wares of this RL art student, she’s incredibly true to what her inspires her and not what might make her bank. Although I hope there’s lots of that too!

The trousers above are the “Harem High Waists” (Harem, of course) in taupe. There is no top, so build your own look around them. I opted for the rather simple, and I think perhaps even early Autumn look here with stark white tights and leather bag.

My skins are all new from Blowpop, and I told Annyka this, but her make-ups just get better and better. I love the strong lips in the “Shades of Valena” collection and especially the subtle blush of the “Keeping Up with the Rossinis” collection - both variants of the new Tuesday line.

Kaejo DaSilva, owner of Renegade, will be releasing new female skins shortly. This is the “Motivation” skin line, which will be available in 6 tones with 4 make-up options, including several pubic hair versions (I will never get used to saying things like this :p ).

I really like the skins, which feature faces that are a tad more realistic than I typically wear (but work very well I believe), and include some well done hand drawn details as well as excellent body shading. Overall, for me it’s a well done realistic skin.

As I said, the initial line features 6 tones (5 of which I have and will show you) and currently 4 make-ups: Gloss, Clean, Glamour, and Freckles. Kaejo says that later on he’ll add more creativity to them in his usual goth/emo/punk style, so look for those soon as well.

I‘m not the fastest blogger in the land, but I still wanted to snap the new “Linda” dark tone coming out from PXL Creations early next week. I do wear PXL skins quite often - my favorites are the fairer tones (of which I own multiple make-ups), but I do sometimes wear dark skins, so I was excited to test this one as well. I wasn’t disappointed and I’m told that dark skins are especially hard to get right.

Since I began wearing Linda last year in the fairer tones, my only issue with them has been the eyebrows. But even a less than ideal brow hasn’t stopped me from acquiring my favorite make-ups over time. Like all the other Lindas, Linda dark is also mod/copy.

I’m guessing most folks have at least tried the Linda demos, but in case you need a reminder, Linda now comes in 5 tones with themed eyes and lips available in discounted packs. Singles are $1500L.

You know that fair girl that burns before tanning? The one with the freckled nose? The one with the sensitive skin?

In SL too, I most often wear fair skins because I personally find them the most beautiful for my AV and a truer reflection of my real self. Of course, many of my friends often sport the tanned look, which suits them, but I regularly gravitate to the fairer tones if possible.

In this case, I’m talking about the Gen 4 Fair tone from Minnu Model Skins, which like the other darker tones, contains a wide-variety of make-up choices for a range of different looks. It’s by far my favorite MMs release to date…as I know it is for so many.

For this post, I’ve let the make-ups in the tone guide my clothing choices…and they took me in and out of my inventory for several hours. I’m impressed by the range of looks you can get with just one tone - or even just one skin, since each comes with 2 different eyebrows AND freckled versions.

I do have favorites though…make-ups #3 and #4 (shown here) are definitely 2 of my top picks.
