Menno Ophelia, in case you hadn’t heard, has finally opened Kari to the masses! It’s a project so many have watched closely and I’m so thrilled it’s finally here. I know how hard he’s been working (and may I just say, we have missed you as a regular in the KGB, Menno) so this is a very proud moment for Menno and all his friends.
The Kari inventory is still small but I expect that will expand exceedingly quickly given the success so far. In the meantime, there are awesome goodies to be had - from some of the best jeans I have seen since, hmmm Starley’s massive jeans release, fantastic sculpted color change caps and hats, hoodies with expertly done sculpted attachments and yup, the most rad high tops in SL!!11 (also check out the special “Celestial” pair available now).
You can also grab some creative pose props for your snapping pleasure - with incomparable pose contributions from Torrid Midnight.

I mean seriously, who doesn’t need a little dolly from time to time?

Finally, in case you haven’t been yet, the prices are incredibly reasonable. Nothing is over $250L - and he could charge a lot more IMHO.
Check out Kari and be sure to hit the Subscribomatic for future updates.

OMG it’s been a while since I have been able to blog (thank you all for the nice IMs asking where I have been!)…but I am working on getting through the bulk of *all my new stuff* by this weekend after returning from a 3 day offsite meeting
In the meantime, you likely know that there’s about to be another addition to the Crys line at PXL Creations. It’s the Sunkissed tone - perfect for that summer glow…even for those of us who usually opt for the fairest of the fair. You can expect to see her made available by the weekend.

[UPDATE: It appears that PXL Creations has been accused of stealing original artwork for their skins. I do not yet know the outcome - but thought a mention of the accusations made sense given that I have blogged PXL numerous times. Please refer to this post to read of the accusations and see the photo evidence].
Crys Sunkissed will come in 144 faces (!!!) and each “single” will actually have 4 skins - 2 brow colors and 2 freckled versions. Singles will set you back $1500L, but with all the options, my view is that the price is justified.
My favorites are, predictably, the more natural make-ups with the freckles. They’re gorgeous fresh faces that are subtle but polished.

In all, there will be 5 eye make-up styles and 6 lip colors - resulting in looks from barely there to more dramatic and even alternative.

Milk - Base
I came across some completely new-to-me skins the other night from a shop called The oBscene. The skins are by Kuja Akina and I was definitely a fan of the make-ups pretty quickly. At the shop you’ll also find eyes, lashes, clothing, and shapes made by both Kuja and her partner Angel Cleghorn.
There are three available tones but all the skins I have here are in my preferred light tone - milk. Each tone has a huge amount of make-up options (over 30 I think!) - from subtle daytime looks to alternative and grunge looks. Singles will set you back $1000L (each comes with lashes and eyebrow shape) and there are themed packs available as well.

Milk - Ala
I had 4 favorite make-ups in the Milk tone, 2 of which are the Base make-up and a beautifully rich yellow eyeshadow in “Ala.” I think the lips are especially pretty and all the make-ups I am showing you use varying shades of the pale pink lips.
More make-ups and the body after the jump…

I have been revisiting old favorites again - in fact this time around, potentially the favorite. Without being too overbearingly Gillian-like, I’ll go so far as to say that this particular shop was one of the reasons I stayed interested in SL fashion over the long haul. It was the first clothing I purchased and thought, “this is very me.” The real me.
Those who know me might already know that I’m talking about ‘Kota Buck’s Savvy? brand. Looking back through 1.5 years of fashion blogging will indeed reveal that I not only own everything she’s ever made, but I very likely blogged it too
I remember the first item I ever bought from ‘Kota was a pair of “Colleen” bib shorts. They’ve been re-done since then and are still available in multiple colors in fact. The point is, I trash a lot in my inventory but there are certain shops that get a special place and will *never* be culled.

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know that ‘Kota is now designing as Lindsay Armidi. Though I’m proud of her and eagerly await more from her as Lindsay, I’m not shy about saying how much I miss Savvy? I also know I’m only one of many. Of course, the good news is Savvy? is still around and most of the items I snapped here (no, not all) can still be purchased.

Take a little trip down memory lane…and think about the shop that made you stay
